John has loved music ever since he was a kid, but didn’t start playing the drums until he was 45. For 5 years he took lessons once a week at Onset Music and never played with anyone else. Then, thanks to some strong encouragement from BJ Wass (owner of Onset Music) and his amazing wife, Jamie, he agreed to go outside his comfort zone and join a band. In the 5 years since, he’s met some amazing people who are now bandmates, friends and extended family. He couldn’t be more grateful for the outlet that playing music with a special group of people has provided. When he is not drumming, he loves spending time with family and friends, particularly at his lake house in Maine.
